Love at first bite...Roti Boy

Today morning on my way to work i thought of getting a pack of nasi lemak..Nasi lemak is among my favorite breakfast menu...then on second thought, i stopped at one of my favorite too..Nasi Kandar shop in cheras (Taman Len Sen, place where i stay lah)..to eat their roti canai with dhal curry and sambal ikan bilis....wahhh....roti canai(looks like a pie but really crunchy if served hot) with teh tarik (Milk Tea)is Malaysian most sought after breakfast dishes. So i ordered 2 roti canai "banjir"(soaked in curry) with a glass of teh'o'limau (lime tea). Since i had a heavy breakfast i thought of skipping my lunch.

Once i departed from the LRT in KLCC station...a kind of mesmerizing aroma caught my sense...i knew its Roti Boy....and it has been quite while i have not purchased roti boy..so today morning i did buy two...i still remember..roti boy was literally introduced to me by my fren in KL...surprisingly after tasting it for the first time..i was addicted to the soft, hot and irresistable taste of roti boy and its aroma.

Since then i will always make it a point to buy roti boy everytime i come down to KL because although i have tried looking in many other places, i still cant grab anything as original as tastier as roti boy. I was in Sungei Petani once and apparently i found a that looks like roti boy but known as Papa Roti among Sungai Petani locales. The taste is obviously different and still incomparable to the original Roti Boy. Papa roti is available in Central Square opposite Watsons.

Some similar buns are also being sold in many bakeries and usually known as Mexican Bun...seriously telling..it sucks and it not worth buying it after u had roti boy. Roti boy is a kind of bun with coffee, brown sugar and custard sugar (blended) as the toppings. The bun is made of flour and butter and sugar. The topping is the one that provides the sensational aroma while the bun tastes sweet and salty because of the salted butter and sugar.

The only thing that i hate the most is the queue. Almost everyday one can expect a long queue at the cashier counter because Roti Boy confectionaries does not only sells Roti boy's Siganture bun but also variety of cakes, breads, sandwishes and buns.
The price for per bun (Roti boy) is RM1.80...its worth it. Roti boy is available at ground floor of KLCC opposite Nandos and at the rear entrance of KLCC from the LRT exit and also available in Alamanda, Putrajaya. I am not very sure of any other location. i have not heard about Mama Roti or Uncle Roti since we have Papa Roti in the line.

The Roti Boy has its own tagline...saying..

So guys...give it a try and post me your comments.....oohh...Roti Boy..Love at First bite....So tender..so soft...so sexy...oopps..

Summary of Roti Boy
Price : RM 1.80
